It’s fantastic to see the Evelyn Court site in Smalley, Derbyshire, now fully operational with a Category 3 compliant, dedicated sprinkler pump and tank fed system, ensuring fire safety across the care home.
Overcoming numerous challenges like shadowed areas and limited water supply, our team has demonstrated expertise and dedication, especially our designers’ collaboration with AHJs to achieve compliance.
The new £7 million dementia care unit is an impressive expansion—almost doubling the size of the previous facility—and will significantly enhance residents’ quality of life. With features like a dedicated hair salon, restaurant, coffee bar, therapy areas, and lounge rooms opening onto beautifully landscaped gardens, it offers a truly enriching environment for residents.
Additionally, the increased capacity will require approximately 80 new staff members, supporting the growth and ensuring high-quality care.
