Becketts House in Ilford was a Sheen Lane Developments project that Sprinklers Direct had the pleasure of designing and fitting. The full refurb of the property was to convert the existing structure into a building which could house 167 apartments. This property had a quick turn around as the developers wanted to complete the project within 10 months from the initial site purchase. Totaling 10 floors and 454 heads, our engineers found a challenge in installing pipework to accommodate for the beam locations within the old infrastructure. Nevertheless, they were able to navigate efficiently, teeing off from a 42mm shared boosted riser. A variation of pipes ranging from 20mm-42mm pipes where used in this instance to successfully to reduce the hydraulic demand requirements for the combined system.
