The Fellows House, Curio Collection by Hilton Hotels is a high-end duplex hotel, offering 9 different apartment types throughout the building to accommodate a vast number of visitors with varied preferences. This development was an intricate design that required two separate sprinkler risers to provide full sprinkler protection to the 162 apartments with split level ceilings and coffer details by the interior designer. The building circulated an internal courtyard, making the building more of an untraditional shape. Several apartments which are duplex units meant the designer had to navigate the floor plans to provide full cover to the upstairs section by using risers within the flats where common corridors were not available to route the pipework.

We used standard concealed heads for most of the property but decided to use two concealed low flow heads in the most favorable flat of the system as a way of reducing the q-max and stored water demand to the combined tank.
